Personal data protection

What data the portal collects, why, how long it is kept and what you may request.

This notice explains what data the portal collects, why, how long it is kept and what you may request. It describes what the portal actually does, rather than being a generic statement.

Who processes the data

Resources Environmental Center — REC North Macedonia, as implementer of the public awareness campaign under the project. For questions and requests: macedonia@rec.org.mk.

What we collect and why

WhereDataPurposeKept for
Contact formname, email, subject, messageto reply to you2 years
Workshop registrationname, email, organisation, phone, gender (optional)organising the workshop and donor reporting2 years
Technician submissioncompany, contact person, city, phone, email, licence number, equipmentpublication in the voluntary listinguntil you request removal

The legal basis is your consent. Without the consent box ticked, none of the forms creates a record.

The gender field

Workshop registration includes an optional gender field. The project document requires gender-disaggregated data in donor reporting. Only an aggregate figure goes to the donor — for example "of 68 participants, 14 were women" — never individual records. The field may be left blank with no consequences.

Who receives the data

Personal data is not transferred to UNIDO, to institutions or to third parties. Only aggregate figures and reports without names go to the donor.

The one exception is the voluntary technician listing: those details are published on the portal, but only the ones you entered yourself and only with your explicit consent.

Photographs at events

Workshops are photographed. Every identifiable person is asked for written consent, with separate opt-ins for social media use and for being named in the caption. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

Cookies and statistics

The portal uses no tracking cookies. The only cookie is technical and is set solely when an editor logs into the administration area.

Visits are counted by a built-in counter that stores no IP addresses. A visitor is recognised through a fingerprint valid only for the current day and unusable the next, so there is no tracking across days or across pages. That is why the portal carries no cookie banner.

No Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or comparable third-party tools are used. No page calls an external server — the typeface, stylesheets and images are served from this server, so no third party learns that you opened the page.

Your rights

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — request deletion.
  • Withdrawal of consent — at any time, without giving reasons. Withdrawal applies going forward and does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.
  • Complaint — to the Personal Data Protection Agency, if you believe the data is processed contrary to the regulations.

Requests go to macedonia@rec.org.mk.

Security

Access to submitted data is limited to portal editors, through a password. The connection to the portal is encrypted. Records older than the periods above are deleted.

Changes

If the way data is processed changes, this page is updated. The date of the last change is shown at the bottom.
